Wanna Be Rocker
One thing that's spreading like fire is rock music, the fact of the matter is rock music didn't get popular in India until some 'have been's' of the western rock world decided to serve there old wine in a new bottle to the people of India in the form of nostalgic rock concerts...
Rock music grabbed people's interest resulting in a lot of head banging, true to the soul, kurt cobain fans who swear by rock music whether it be acid, hard, punk or metal these guys love it... these guys live it...
For me rock music is like rubbing my face on a pillow when waking up in the morning, rock music has a certain randomness to it, a chaos associated with it that's so continuous and constant that if u really listen to it then it can streamline your though into one single flow.
My notions about rock music might be different from the general sentiments and stream of thought attached with it. Some people associate originality, grit and being true to yourself with rock music like my friend Verma, he appreciates rock music for what it is, 'ORIGINAL', a skill of handling a guitar to create melody of the unique kind.
Again it is also associated with being a rebel, defying the world and hating it to some extent where as some people have turned it into a cult. The perceived association between the devil and rock music has been long standing one, for me it's the most illogical one and only thing common between them is Marilyn Manson and the sign of the devil "\m/", the so called dark side has been a source of constant inspiration to many a rock bands but 2 many people have assumed that rock music and satan worshipping is the same thing(i know 1 at least). I differ, music is inspirational no matter whether it's rock or pop, it's not a dialog with the devil, it's just music so let it stay that way, let it Smell like teen spirit...
